Comanche Reservoir Generator Engine Replacement

A little while ago, we went up to the Comanche Reservoir area to replace the engine on a generator. It was so remote that snowmobiling was our transportation of choice.

We are so pleased to announce that Collins Control & Electric recently passed the 104 Week (2 Year) mark for being accident free! To celebrate we all went out to breakfast at the Silver Grill Cafe (not pictured).

Rocky Mountain Innovation Initiative (Part 1)

This is the new solar parking structure our crew just completed at the new Rocky Mountian Innovation Initiative (RMI 2) building on East Vine Street. The array which also serves as covered parking produces 17.9 kW of electrical energy. On average, this array creates enough energy to fully power 2.5 average size homes.

Completed in late 2009, this family wanted to make the most of their PV friendly roof. Their system consists of 33 REC Solar 215 Watt panels offsetting approx 85% of the households needs. An area was left open to be filled with Solar Hot Water panels. This family knows the strength of the sun!
